New work motto...

Since half of my collegues have resigned, the "survivors" here made up a new work motto: I need my job, I will not resign.

It's like a mantra...whenever we are getting puked up about the queue. Or when we are talking to a really stupid customer.

I'm really getting tired of this work. Yesterday, I had 59 calls and today I had 40. It's a good thing it is now my rest day. Thought it was never gonna come...

I'm just killing time here at the office. We are supposed to have a meeting with our Account Manager so that we can voice out our concerns.

Raymund and I had dinner last night before my shift. We had a very yummy dinner at Chef D'Angelo in Glorietta. mmm! Later on today, we'll be going to his sister's husband's birthday party. We're gonna drink till we puke! Hooray! I badly need that. Stress reliever. My usual stress reliever won't work (shopping) coz I'm on a very tight budget.

(very) Late Valentine's Day date

I was home at 6am this morning. I bought donuts and newspaper for my baby, and slept. I told him to wake me up later that day because we were supposed to watch a movie.

At 1:20pm, he woke me up, and we left the house at 2:30pm. We went to SM Megamall and watched Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events at 2:55pm. Movie was ok. I told him that I can't think of any other actor who could portray Count Olaf other than the one and only Jim Carrey. And he was good...

After the movie, we went to Pain and Rehab and had him scheduled for an appointment that day. Then we went to the only restaurant we evern eat in when we go to the mall: Tokyo Tokyo. And of course, we ate the usual thing that we order. hehe. Dinner was yummy.

He window shopped for computer accessories and I shopped for a new pair of silver hoop earrings. Hehe. After that, we headed off to Pain and Rehab, and I left at 7pm when he was called. I took a cab from SM to the office, and the traffic jam was horrible! sigh.

Anyways, he was really sweet today. Pretty good mood because of that.

Here at work, we are trying to survive thru the huge number of calls waiting in queue. Sigh. Another stressful day in the office.

Raymund will be going to work later on today, at 6am. I'm gonna miss not having him beside me when I go home to sleep. Sigh.

Take care baby! Mwuah.

Can't think of a title for this post...

My rest days were spent at home. I loved being able to spend time with my baby. He can walk around the house now, and we even went to the mall on Sunday afternoon after going to church.

Going to church with him made me feel so light. He held my hand towards the end of the mass and he kissed me on the cheek, with me blushing and worrying about what the older people might think. It was pretty funny because the priest explained about the 6 commandments of the Catholic church, one of which was that couples should get married in church first before engaging in intercourse and/or living together. He made this funny sound when the priest said that, and I nudged him in the ribs to keep myself from laughing out loud. But honestly, I felt really guilty about it. I mean, heck, there we were, two people living in sin in the church. Sigh. I love that guy. I know someday I'll need to pay for all the sins that I'm doing now, but I know that somehow God understands me and forgives me for all the stupid things I have done. I know I may sound twisted and totally insane to say this, but I just believe that we should do the things that would make us happy. We only have one life to live, why not live it in bliss? We will all die someday anyways. Being with him is what makes me happy. So sue me. Dear God, thanks for bringing him into my life.

Cheesy huh?

Yeah I know.

Anyways, after the mass, we went to SM North Edsa coz he's been itching to go out after being bedridden for a week. We had dinner at Tokyo Tokyo (where else...) and ate the usual stuff that we order. With heavy stomachs, we window shopped for a bit and went home. We were in the mall for only 2 short hours. I told him we need to go home right away coz he just got out of the hospital.

This morning, he wanted to eat tuyo and talong for breakfast. So with the help of Lyca, his brother's "friend", we cooked breakfast and had brunch at 9:30am. Next he wanted to eat pork adobo, so Lyca and I went to the wet market and got pork, potatoes, soy sauce, pepper, bananas... I watched her cook, absorbing everything because next time I'll be cooking on my own...Scary.

He appreciated my efforts in TRYING to learn, and he kept kissing me. LOL. sigh.

So that's how my weekend went. It's a good thing it's a holiday in the US so that I can update my blog. hehe. Not much calls tonight.

Joi the Nurse

Raymund has been confined in the Makati Medical Center for a week now because of a slipped disc on his back. The poor baby...

Last Thursday, he was about to get up to go to work when he sneezed. He felt a sharp electricity of painfrom his lower back to his toes, and he couldn't get up after that. Friday morning, we sent him to hospital.

I stayed with him till Monday and had to go back to work on Tuesday night. I was absent for 3 days. I wanted to take care of him till he gets out, but then I might lose my job! So his mom took over when I went back to work.

He will be finally going home tomorrow morning. He can get out of the bed now and walk, but he walks very slowly and needs a little help walking. He can sit on a chair now and eat his meal. That's a huge improvement. When I was taking care of him, he was totally bedridden and I had to feed and wash him on the bed.

Friends, please pray for him. I hope he gets better soon.

P.S It's our 19th monthsary today. I love you baby! mwuah!

Body ache

I just had a full body massage before going to work...I feel warm and light! I really wanna just stay at home and rest on my bed...sigh...

Last Sunday, there was a birthday party for Raymund's mom. Raymund and I went to SM North Edsa for the sale. I convinced him to buy bedsheets and pillows. We really bought a nice bedsheet, and for half the price! It's dark blue with moon and star patterns in white. Soo nice. And we had matching pillow cases...all I wanted was to stay in bed! haha! We also bought cake and a gift for his mom...

During the party, we had to leave because Raymund had band practice in a studio nearby. They're forming a new band. They temporarily call themselves "Lucid" ...Raymund has already thought up some songs for the band, which is cool because he already got him amp a few weeks ago. He's been practicing his electric guitar (he names the guitar "Eva", and calls her "baby" like he calls me) in the house. It's fun to watch him play...=) all sweaty and stuff...

I'm looking forward to my rest day. Raymund and I have a date on Sunday for Valentines, because we both have work on that day...=) I don't have a gift for him yet...i'll probably give him something that he'd be embarassed to show anyone...HAHA! That way, he'll remember me always! =)

Breakup month...

Lately, I noticed that a lot of people I know are breaking up with their partners...From the office, my friend Arez is now single again...and today my own supervisor confided that his girlfriend broke up with him...I also recently had some issues with my own lovelife...I'm glad though that I won't be single this Valentine's day...hehe

It's only the beginning of February, and yet it seems that a lot of my friends will be single this year...hmm...i don't know if that's a good thing or a bad one...

Personally, I don't wanna be single again. I just realized that I haven't been single for 6 years... My previous relationship lasted for almost 4 years, and less than a month after that I hooked with with my current boyfriend... I'm not saying that being single is a bad thing. Sometimes I miss being single, when I want time to myself and I can't seem to find any...or maybe I choose not to have any...I always like to include my love one to my plans, I always want him to be with me in the things I do. Sometimes I wonder if that's a bad thing.

I have a friend who made her loved one her life. And I mean that literally. She is so in love with her partner that all I can read from her blog are declarations of love. I guess I can't really blame her because it's her first relationship, but sometimes I'm scared for her. I think I told her not to have her world revolve around a person, and then I realized that I am guilty of the same sin.

Frankly, I have never been in love like this. People have told me that a person has only 2 great loves in their lifetime. I'm pretty sure that Raymund is one of them. I have never fought my parents' wishes before, but this time I really wanted to show them that this relationship IS right. It came to the point where they had me choose between them and Raymund, and I chose him. I didn't want to have any regrets. So far, I have enjoyed being with him, and I still believe that I made the right choice. No matter what happens, I truly believe that fate has brought us together, and that we are really meant to be a couple.

Hmm...I didn't intend for this post to be so mushy, but I guess I'm just missing him. For once in my life, I'm not ashamed to admit that I am really in love with a person. So to you, my baby, thank you for being in my life and for putting me in yours.

One more day!

It's Friday morning! Only one more night at work and I'm free!!!! It's my rest day on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't wanna drag my huge ass to work!!!! arrggghhhh....

Work days are stress days

I've been dragging myself to work lately. There are always a lot of calls coming in, so it's one stress call after another. Dealing with frustrated customers are soooooo tiring...

I really want to take a vacation...no scratch that...I really want to resign. The sad things is I can't afford to be unemployed. Finding a job in Manila is hard, and I'm lucky that I'm in the call center business where the pay is pretty good compared to corporate jobs. I really wish I can just sit back and enjoy life...How I miss my student days where I have allowance from my parents! Sigh. Independent life is not as cracked up as it used to be.

I'm really looking forward to my rest day on Saturday and go SHOPPING! There's a sale in SM North Edsa on Feb. 4-6...Sale here I come!

My San Juan trip...

I'm sorry, this is soooo overdue. As you can see, I have been depressed for a few weeks so I didn't have the energy to update this blog. I was supposed to update it over the weekend, but our schedules have changed and I no longer have work on weekends. Bummer.

On the first day of the trip, we were supposed to leave at 8 but instead we left at 10am. A lot of people were late...yada yada...There were two vehicles, one rented van and a car owned by a friend's friend (Jackie). We had breakfast at McDonalds along the South Expressway. We arrived in San Juan at around 1:30pm. Wow I missed that place sooo much. That place is really fantastic. Check out the pics on my website.

We had lunch on banana leaves. Rice and crabs...yum yum. After digesting that huge lunch, we went for a dip on the clear water. You can actually see the corals and fish there! After the dip, we had our drinking session while chilling out, enjoying the view.

Dinner was again great, thanks to our great Lea and Nezza who prepared the food (for most of the trip)...We did take turns with washing the dishes though. That first night, we were all too tired for a really drop dead drinking session so we all retired early.

On the second day, we had breakfast. Hotdogs, eggs, rice and bread. Yummy. I think I gained weight from all the great food we had. We couldn't swim because the water was FILLED with jellyfish. I guess it was because the water was so calm and the breeze was very gentle. My friend Eva and I watched the jellyfish and tried to feed the fish with bread. I even saw a sea horse! It was tiny and green and it was just a few inches from where my feet was! Wow. My first sea horse.

After lunch, we drank a little bit and then we went to the "bat cave". It was a 15 minute walk from the house. There were a lot of bats but we didn't go in. The droppings stink! Anyways, most of us were high because we were smoking "doobie" on the way to the cave. haha! But it was cool.

That night, most of the guys took a nap. Eva and I drank the Absolut Mandarin while singing to the Eraserheads. That was great! Singing those songs brought me and Eva back to our high school days...and I got drunk...I left Eva there and slept. Tee hee. Later on I found out that when we slept, those who took their naps woke up and had their own drinking session. haha.

On the third day, we just swam and rode the kayak...that was my first kayak ride. And it was embarrasing coz my friend who helped me up saw something she wasn't supposed to see (read: i was wearing a tankini and I had to lift my legs up to get on the kayak). It was cool. Got to see a lot of corals and fish.

I forgot to mention that there was this boat who came by selling jewelry made out of pearls and cats eye. Raymund bought me a necklace and bracelet made out of white cats eye. He bought a set of black coral necklace and bracelets. He also exchanged his board shorts for a single black pearl. Haha! The person selling the pearl really liked his shirts, and they had a great deal coz those shorts were pretty cheap (read: from Penshoppe) and the pearl costs 1thou pesos. hehe.

We left at around 5pm and Raymund took the wheel of the van. We took some people home and arrived in Makati at around 11pm. We were dead tired when we got home at midnight but it was worth it. Hope we can go back.

Back from the dead...

Finally the sun appears after the storm...i'm happy
