Bored at work

I'm here at work, with nothing to do. Things are slow on weekends. Yesterday, I only had one call 10 mins before I was supposed to log out. The call was from an internal employee, asking for someone who is not in our department. So I just looked for the phone # and gave it to him and that was that.

I loooovvveeeee my shift, 1pm till 10pm. Technically, that's 1am EST so things are slow.
Have I mentioned that I am one of the 5 floor leads in the team? WE have to make reports and submit the ticket logs at the end of our shift to our managers, and it's cool. Added responsibility means one step closer to promotion. Yey!

Raymund, Gabbi and I met up with my mom and brothers in Megamall earlier today. My mom wanted to meet Gabbi and give her a present. We had an early lunch in KFC and then went to the arcades. Too bad I had to leave them there coz I have work today. Sigh. My mom will go to the Mall of Asia later and then Raymund and Gabbi needs to attend Eman's baby's christening in Quezon City. Busy busy day.

Last Friday, Gabbi and I went to Greenhills. We bought gifts for her cousin Nicole and Ate Joy. After that, I bought a shift, sandals, and undies for myself. I bought Gabbi a Hello Kitty wallet. We had pizza from Greenwich and then bought gift wrappers from National Bookstore. We had a lot of fun. I let her choose Nicole's gift as well as the wrappers and the cards. We chatted about anything and everything.

Gabbi will be leaving soon, and that's sad. I know how much my husband hurts just thinking about it. She said she'd rather stay here. Sigh. I will miss her too when she leaves for the US on Sept. 4. Such is life.

Start of a new day

Guess what? I just got home. Hehe. Our team had a Go Live party for us in Gerry's Grill, Libis. We are finally done with our training and nesting, and we are all excited about going live on Monday. Yey!

After we had a yummy dinner at Gerry's, we headed off to R&B in Metrowalk, Ortigas. We danced the night away with our trainers - Betsy and Ram, our managers - Kyle, Ef-ar, Gene, Bob and our director Emma. There were 2 bands playing so we had the time of our lives. Bob played the guitar and we all went to the dance floor to cheer on him. It's great that our trainers/boss from the US had fun with us, and Betsy even showed us her dance moves!

I love my schedule on Monday, 1pm-10pm Thur Fri off. Nice! I was assigned as one of the 5 floor leads in the team. If our team manager is not around, we would be the ones managing the team for the meantime. Big responsibilites lie ahead of me, but I'm ready! It's time I get promoted! Haha!

I feel good about myself. I'm doing well in my new job. I've been able to wear jeans that I haven't been able to fit myself into for months. Been eating less rice nowadays. I have a stepdaughter who is so smart, independent and funny! She melted my heart when she said thank you after I showed her the birthday cake I got for her party. Aww...

My husband has been very supported towards my work. He said I'd make a great team manager someday...hopefully soon! That's a big deal for me, since he knows what it's like.

I have new friends at work. Most of them are guys, but they're never boring to be with! It was awesome hanging out with them today.

I'm so tired from dancing and shouting and screaming that I think I need to go to bed now. I'll try my best to update this blog more often.
