Ups and downs

My first job was in a call center called Sykes Asia back as a Technical Support Engineer. I was fresh out of college, and I had NO idea what a "call center" was. The industry was still young back in 2002. I remembered I was really nervous during the job offer and I called my mom first to tell her what was in the contract before I signed. *shaking my head* I couldn't decide without my mom saying yes. Haha!

I met great friends from that job offer, one of them is still one of the closest friends I know:Eva. She was friend since that day in San Miguel Properties, Ortigas. Even in training, we were inseparable. I love you Eva!

I stayed in that job for about a year. I had a lot of fun and I felt that I really discovered who I was. Even my romantic relationships changed. I never thought I would meet my future husband there! I had my first taste of alcohol and yosi there. Late night movies and early morning drinking.

After that, I was hired in PeopleSuppport for another call center job, this time taking calls (I was in email support back in Sykes). It was different there and it was not much fun until I met some crazy friends (Kate, Mark, Pacs, Nicole!, Wacks, Pakko, Mic). I met my "long lost sister", Nicole. We just had to look at each other and we can understand each other. It became kinda scary after a while that we were that close.

After almost 3 years there, i'm back in Sykes. I love my job now as a Quality Assurance Coordinator. I love my team, my bosses, my job. 5 years ago, I did not know what I was getting myself into. Now, I'm glad I signed that first ever contract back in 2002. I have learned so much and met so many great people. I can't imagine myself anywhere else.
